According to a recent New York Times poll, 93 percent of the American public supports the labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and labeling is already the norm in 64 nations, including all of Europe.

In 2013, Coca-Cola spent over $1.5 million to oppose labeling of GMOs in Washington State and over $1.7 million in California in 2012.

Coca-Cola hid their expenditure by funneling the money through the Grocery Manufacturers Association, and their involvement only came to light after the Washington State Attorney General filed a lawsuit.

Coca-Cola has been marketing several of their brands to health-conscious consumers, including Odwalla, Zico Coconut Water, Honest Tea, Simply Orange, Dasani, and Vitamin water.
