Sen. John Valentine very quickly chooses to downplay the economic impact of the beer industry in Utah by immediately pointing out the costs of alcohol in the state ("Beer Kicks in $1 Billion to Utah’s Economy," June 4).
However, he never comments on the costs resulting from refusing to accept millions of federal dollars to provide insurance to 110,000 uninsured Utahns in the state. We know how many federal dollars the state would get by accepting the money provided by the "Obamacare" program, but we don’t know the cost of not accepting the money and allowing those uninsured to simply die or suffer until they do die.. How do you put a cost on the loss of a loved one, Sen. Valentine?
