Letter: What about envoy’s Benghazi decision?
First Published Jun 04 2014 07:34 am • Last Updated Jun 04 2014 07:34 am

Benghazi, Benghazi. ("But can you find Benghazi on a map, Congressman?" May 14).

I have yet to hear any questions about the judgement call of U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens on his traveling to troubled Benghazi.

Was it not his decision, his job to know the status of traveling in a volatile region in Libya? Did Ambassador Stevens make a bad judgment call as to his safety, and the safety of three others? The ambassador paid a heavy price for his ultimately tragic choice. In this politically charged "blame game," I believe Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton are inculpable.
