We went out for dinner last night and saw, first hand, how far in the sand our legislators (and other like-minded souls) have their heads.
The good old "Zion Curtain" in action. The thing that keeps our impressionable youngsters from seeing (Oh, gracious!) alcoholic beverages being mixed and poured (Dear me!). Yet the law does nothing to prevent, once the drink reaches the table, those same impressionable youngsters from watching their parents actually enjoying the drink.
I guess the "protectors of our youth" think the kids are too dumb to know what a mixed drink is if it's prepared out of sight, even though they have excellent hearing capacity and can plainly hear Dad order "scotch and soda" when the server asks for a drink order.
What a state we live in. A laugh every day!
