Letter: Benghazi probe designed to hurt Obama
First Published May 16 2014 04:24 pm • Last Updated May 16 2014 04:24 pm

Don Swaby is seriously bringing up the family members of the four Americans slain in Benghazi? ("More to the story," Public Forum, May 12)

After 10 investigations, the family members seem to understand what Don and the tea party loyalists will not, that there is no back story to this senseless attack. President Obama and his staff are no more responsible for this tragic event than President Reagan was for the barracks bombing in Beirut or President Bush was for 9/11.

If there was another side to this story, please, Don, present your credible and documented information to the proper authorities, and let’s move on. I’m sure the families of these four men are sick of this being dragged out again and again.

And where is the outrage for the families of the 4,486 Americans lost in the useless war in Iraq? And the families of those who have returned physically and/or mentally damaged? Talk about being hung out with little or no backup.

Isn’t it time you faced the fact that your concern is not for the families? Your real intent is to try to damage the president. There is no other reason for these continued costly investigations.
