Letter: Someone is going to get hurt
First Published May 13 2014 03:57 pm • Last Updated May 13 2014 03:57 pm

Seeing the picture of the ATV rider with the automatic rifle at the Recapture Canyon Access sent shivers up my spine ("A peaceful, if unlawful, Recapture Canyon ride," Tribune, May 11).

I guess we are supposed to feel that these poor protesters are just protecting themselves. From what? The one lone deputy on horseback? It looks like the protesters are just daring the law enforcement officers to try to keep them out.

What happens if the law doesn’t change. Do they respect the laws or can we expect to see an armed uprising?

From the look of things, its just a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
