The Republicans are playing us for fools in their Benghazi probe and they are not even being subtle about it.
Take the quote from Trey Gowdy, the Republican congressman appointed to head their investigation, about the political make up of the committee: "Look, we're in the majority for a reason. We have more seats in the House." The only reason to insist on a party's political advantage in a committee is if you know the subject is primarily political.
Now add to that the National Republican Congressional Committee's website has just added to its contribution page this plea, "You're now a Benghazi Watchdog, Let's go after Obama & Hillary Clinton. Help us fight them now." Just click any amount to donate.
The fundraising on this tragedy isn't limited to the NRCC, you can also donate to the RNC or Mike Huckabee, amongst others.
How shameless do you have to be to accuse this administration of some sort of political cover-up while brazenly broadcasting your own political motives and asking for money to boot?
