As we watched the NBA playoff games during the past week, "Didn't he used to play for us?" became a common refrain from my sweetheart, who is still learning the fundamentals of the game.

"Yes but," I would say as I admired her recognition of the players' names.

D. Williams, Kirilenko, Matthews, Milsap, Korver, Carroll, Boozer, Brewer, M. Williams, Jefferson, Harris, over and over. These are all former Utah Jazz players who ended up someplace else and are in the playoffs.

Former coach Ty Corbin will end up someplace else pretty soon, too, because his kind of coaching talent is easy to see. Except to those would give away talent like D. Williams, Kirilenko, Matthews, Milsap, Korver, Carroll, Boozer, Brewer, M. Williams, Jefferson and Harris and still expect to make the playoffs.

Congratulations, Ty, you've escaped from the asylum.
