I would like to address Debbie Sanich's letter to the forum ("Who is this Marine?" May 1). I served in the Marine Corps in the '50s and '60s and since then both as a cop and civilian have seen many, many people who wear Marine apparel who never served a minute. These people want to give the appearance that they have the guts, glory and right stuff to say. "I am/was a United States Marine." Semper Fidelis to your husband, Debbie.
