Letter: TSA agents just want you to have a safe flight
First Published Apr 30 2014 04:36 pm • Last Updated Apr 30 2014 05:29 pm

What’s dressed in blue, something you hate, and saves your life? Yup, you guessed right: TSA. We accuse them of harassing us, searching us inappropriately, scanning our bodies so they can see every little secret hidden in each crack and fold of our bodies, which shouldn’t be a problem if you have nothing to hide.

Travelers really need to cut TSA a little slack. Yes, there are a few bad apples, but the majority work to keep flights safe every day. I feel much more comfortable being searched for a few seconds than being paranoid that the man I am flying next to is going to hijack the plane.

So what if TSA searches you for a few seconds? Put your pride away, and quit incriminating TSA because you don’t want them gone. It is their job to keep passengers safe, which to me deserves a little respect. Be quiet, eat your peanuts, and have a safe flight. And remember TSA ensured that you are having a safe flight.
