Letter: Rocky Mountain Power’s crazy talk
First Published Apr 23 2014 04:23 pm • Last Updated Apr 23 2014 04:35 pm

Why does Rocky Mountain Power believe they can collect from customers that are not using their power source? If someone like Robert G. Nohavec ("Why penalize me?" April 21) has his own solar panels, at his own cost, which will reduce power outages and use the environment as a healthy resource, why should he have to pay RMP a levy fee of $4.25 a month?

People who are trying to help the earth should be rewarded. Can anyone just levy a fee because they are losing money from people who aren’t customers? It’s crazy talk. They should be helping customers to get renewable energy. Didn’t we just celebrate Earth Day?
