Letter: Soros is a big donor, but he gives to good causes

I agree with Mike McManus' point (Dems have billionaire donors, Forum, April 7) that George Soros has "out-donated" the Koch brothers, but there is a marked difference.

Mr. Soros has given away over $8 billion to causes related to human rights, public health and education, not to promote his business interest like the Koch brothers have done.

One acts for the better good, the other to enrich themselves at the expense of the public good.
