Letter: Why does ACA cause anger but not Supreme Court ruling giving power to wealthy?
First Published Apr 08 2014 01:01 am • Last Updated Apr 08 2014 12:39 pm

I am ashamed and confounded that our society has such large numbers of citizens who are appalled at the Affordable Care Act, whose only intent is to provide basic medical coverage to all citizens.

Yet there is little outrage that the Supreme Court recently gave the self-serving vulgarly rich more ability to influence and buy the political system in this country, thereby weakening the the right of the average citizen to express their free speech.

Why cannot so many people see that obviously their needs and well-being are not being embraced by this current political system. The Supreme Court is full of judges selected by the smooth-talking puppets of the rich. Wake up, people, the voters of this country are the ones — yes, you — who put these puppets into office.
