Regarding political donations, "There is only one way to ensure that big donors don't exert too much influence, and that is to restrict donations" ("Legislature again puts a stop to needed contribution limits," Our View, March 12). Amen!

State legislators have again refused to pass a measure to limit campaign donations from individuals or groups.

I would like to see the Tribune publish the voting records of how our legislators voted on Rep. Brian King's bill to limit such contributions. I'm sure Rep. King is not the only legislator who is not "for sale."

If political contributions had caps, our legislators might be held in higher regard.
