Soon after my arrival in Utah in 2011, it became apparent that "most" (not all, but most) Utahns are not using the "intelligent thought process." I must suggest to letter writer Blair Bateman ("Why re-elect legislators who disagree on best way to deprive poor? Forum, March 11) that although his piece was quite compelling, his conclusions were completely wrong.

He writes, "It never ceases to amaze me why Utahns keep re-electing these idiots."

The "idiots" are not the elected. The "idiots" are the electors.
