Letter: Utah needs more Democrats, fewer embarrassing Republicans
First Published Mar 04 2014 01:01 am • Last Updated Mar 04 2014 01:33 pm

Orrin Hatch was strangely silent during the government shutdown, while Mike Lee and Jason Chaffetz couldn’t shut up. And now we learn from Paul Rolly’s column that Rob Bishop was on the committee that voted to keep the House from voting.

And once the shutdown debacle was over, Hatch said it was all the Democrats’ fault.

That just leaves Jim Matheson to say or do something completely stupid so Utah can remain the most embarrassing state in the Union.

Utahns, please! Rise up and demand we do something about the gerrymandering that has given us such pathetic representation. Count My Vote is only going to give us more Republicans. A step away from John Birchers maybe, but not nearly close enough to the Democrats we need.
