Re "Garbage everywhere," Forum, Feb. 25: My husband and I were also dismayed, as was Danny Butler, at the amount of garbage dumped on our roads.
Who are those people who think trash tossing is acceptable? We started wearing latex gloves and carrying bags to pick up trash on neighborhood walks. We like to think "clean breeds clean."
It seems to help; however, we never end our walks with empty bags.
