Letter: Common Core is about teaching socialism, communism
First Published Feb 17 2014 01:44 pm • Last Updated Feb 17 2014 01:44 pm

The federal government is seizing control of our public schools and using them to indoctrinate our children into socialism and communism. This is not a constitutional duty of the federal government. Our schools belong to the local communities, and that is where what is taught is to be decided.

Common Core is strictly for teaching our children the wrong things. Wrong values, poor academics and social engineering that produces guilt that does not belong.

Their values are the responsibility of their parents and not the schools or government. There comes a time when talk doesn’t work and action of other types becomes necessary. You cannot have a productive discussion with idiots and with ideologues. Neither are willing to listen and neither have the intellect to understand what the conversation is about anyway.
