I am a full-time student at Salt Lake Community College. I also work full time, and have a family. I’m not the typical college student because I am a little older than some, but the one thing that we all have in common is that we are paying an extreme amount of money each semester for our education.
I stopped going to school four years ago because I couldn’t afford it unless I got a school loan. Is the cost of an education really appropriate? Where is my money spent? And why does the cost of a college education continue to rise year after year?
I would really like to see a report done on why school is so expensive; people need to know which government officers are responsible for the rising cost of education. How much of my tuition is spent on sports in the school? With the advances in technology school should be able to cut their cost and pass that savings to their student.
