Letter: Too late for legislators to worry about suicide by gun
First Published Feb 07 2014 01:01 am • Last Updated Feb 07 2014 01:01 am

Just when you think you’ve seen it all from Utah’s legislators, they come with another zinger! The Salt Lake Tribune article in Thursday’s paper headlined "Bill seeks to curb gun-related suicides with rebates." If it weren’t so serious and sad, it would be funny.

For years Utah’s politicians have fought hard to make guns, all kinds, more accessible to one and sundry. They have made our state one of the easiest states to get a gun even for those not living in the Great Sate of Utah.

All of a sudden they are concerned about suicide by gun. Really? Too late, guys. You pried the Pandora’s box wide open and nobody can close it anymore.
