If one stops to think about the meaning of the word "discriminate," he will soon realize that we all discriminate in decisions we make every day (60% of Utahns support LGBT anti-bias bill," Tribune, Jan. 21).
If the Legislature were to approve an anti-discrimination law, it would open more than Pandora’s box: It would be the elimination of the few choices we still have left in this transformed country of ours. We would have no say in whom we hire, where we worship or how we defend our personal values.
It’s time for the local and national governments to stop making new laws and enforce the thousands we already have. Let us make our own decisions and our own mistakes!
