After reading the article about the Red Zone stores closing, I will never set foot in a Fanzz store again. The Millers have lost my business as a Ute fan ("University of Utah to close Red Zone stores dinged in audit," Tribune, Jan. 31).

The best place to get Utes gear is at a Red Zone store, even though it is a little more expensive than others. I also will never support any of the car dealerships of the LHM Group.

I find it ridiculous that this state prides itself on being a free-market state, but when competition to a large entity arises, the Legislature feels the need to squash it like a bug.

The state got mad at the University of Utah for not maximizing profits, and then when it does, "Oh, we can't have that!" State legislators, you really need to rethink the way you treat business in this state. I don't see how the Red Zone stores have an "unfair advantage" over private businesses.
