Just a quick note in praise of one of our Utah community leaders: In such a severely divided state, philosophically, emotionally, politically, nobody does more to bring us closer together than Robert Kirby. And he does it with love — and by love, I mean by not being judgmental.

He sees the human in all of us, and he exposes that by exposing himself, with all his warts and smells and adolescence. He's an exhibitionist who forgets to do his sit-ups and squats, and lost his pancake makeup a long time ago.

He's the kind of guy I could vote for. But I hope that never happens, because we would lose a major reason why our newspaper is still relevant.
