Re "Marriage issue has partisans confused," Forum, Jan. 20:

To answer Tom Kleinschmidt's query about big and small government: Disregard everything politicians say.

Observe their actions. Support only those who espouse laws and policies that protect people who cannot look out for themselves.

Reject those who espouse laws and policies that benefit themselves and their benefactors. The size of government will adjust to an appropriate level if their actions are correct.
