I am LDS. I am married for time and all eternity. I can't offer that to those in the gay community, but I support full civil equality, in marriage and everything else.
Why should I enjoy my eternal marriage if they do not have the right to enjoy their legal civil marriage? Like Jesus, I hang with "whores and drunkards and sinners," those who accept the love I have for them, or for almost all.
I am not perfect. I have no love for those who think they are better than thou. My friends would not spend three seconds with the "Orem-so-holy" folks. I am disgusted by spending money we need for education, medical care, food — for clean air — on this, a battle Utah will lose.
I will be public, and I will fight for what is right. People have said that what is right may not be moral. To you I say: What is moral is always right. If these are "sacred issues, how are we any different from those Muslim countries, ruled by sharia law, so many love to hate?
