The Utah State Constitution does not override the U.S. Constitution. We are ashamed, amazed and appalled that Gov. Gary Herbert says Utah will not honor all of the marriages that occurred during the past several weeks.

We are a heterosexual couple who strongly support the right of all our citizens to get married and to have equal benefits. Family is most important, and it is not up to Gov. Herbert or the state of Utah to define what a family is.
