Since there are thousands of Utahns who object to spending $2 million of taxpayers' money to fight same-sex marriage, I have a simple proposal. The state should establish a private legal fund that anyone who wants to continue the fight can support with donations. No state money should be used.

There are more important uses for our tax dollars. There was plenty of Utah money to support Prop. 8 in California, and so these same people can and should pay the bill here in Utah.
