I must express my concern with Gov. Gary Herbert's treatment of the voters/citizens of Utah.

First, he has denied us the ACA and Medicaid, which I get because that's a Republican/Obama/black thing.

Now, however, his plan to spend more than $2 million (and it will be more than you guess) and funnel the money to a law firm in Idaho crosses the line ("New Utah AG: Defending same-sex marriage ban worth the cost," Tribune, Dec. 31)!

Not only does he admit by doing so that the AG's office is incapable of defending Amendment 3, he also insults every lawyer in Utah and robs the people of $2 million plus, without any of it flowing back to the economy of Utah.

His blatant disregard for the taxpayers of Utah is disgusting.

It's time the voters in Utah realize by just reading and watching the local news, that the Republicans do not have any idea of how to govern. They must all be replaced: from the governor, on down to every elected and appointed official that is a Republican in the image Herbert, Swallow or Shurtleff.
