"We're willing to spend whatever it takes ..." says new Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes of the cost of defending Utah's Amendment 3 ("Utah's new AG: Cost to defend same-sex marriage ban worth the cost," Tribune, Dec. 31).

Now imagine a Utah led by politicians of vision and wisdom: "We will spare no expense to educate our children." "No cost is too high for air clean enough to breathe safely." "We will spend whatever is needed to prevent homeless people from freezing to death in the park."

Just imagine leaders who understand what is truly important, instead of mediocre misguided fools with eyes and minds firmly planted on the wrong side of history. Just imagine.
