Letter: What about 'will of the people' on gun laws?
This is an archived article that was published on sltrib.com in 2013, and information in the article may be outdated. It is provided only for personal research purposes and may not be reprinted.

To all who are complaining that the will of the people is being trampled on by allowing same-sex marriage:

Just where the heck were you when 90 percent of Americans wanted background checks for gun purchases, but Congress refused to pass such a law?

Ninety percent!

It seems that what the people want only matters to you when it's something you like.

That, my friends, is total hypocrisy, and that makes you total hypocrites.

Happy New Year and congratulations to those celebrating their marriages!
