Letter: Grateful 'civilization' in Utah has changed

A friend asked, "Aren't you worried, with Judge Shelby's decision, that civilization as we knew it in Utah will change?" ("Robert J. Shelby: Judge who made gay marriage legal in Utah," Tribune, Dec. 21)

I answered, "Thank God."
