Each year since 2002, Tribune readers have helped us produce our New Year's Day Opinion section by providing us a list of Dream Headlines for imaginary news articles you would like to see in the coming year. We invite you to do so once again. Your headline(s) can touch on world and national events, Utah news, celebrities, entertainment, sports, you name it. They can be hopeful or silly, practical or idealistic.

Some of our favorites include "Rising Atlantic swallows Limbaugh compound," "Genetically engineered horse runs on sunshine," "Cougars accept inaugural Gay Pride Bowl invite!" and "Cause of huge Utah classes: OverStork.com."

Remember, headlines are short, usually no more than six or seven words, yet they convey the gist of a big idea.

Send your Dream Headlines to: Public Forum, The Salt Lake Tribune, 90 S. 400 West, Suite 700, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. E-mail: letters@sltrib.com (no attachments, please). Fax: 801-257-8525. To be considered for our New Year's Day list, we need to have your headlines by Thursday, Dec. 26, at the latest. Please include your name and city.

Here's to a happy new year!
