The Dec. 12 cartoon captured the story of this week of the LDS church's honest position that racism played a part in the exclusion of people of color rising to the priesthood.

I am a practicing agnostic Christian, which means that I believe there are no philosophical sound arguments for the existence of God, nor are there any for the non-existence of God. It is up to each individual to discern their relationship to the deity in which they put their faith.

That said, there does not exist a religious institution I am aware of that hasn't had to retract/correct ideas in its theology not supported by the root beliefs of their religion. Thus, the cartoon should have not been solely aimed at the LDS Christians but at all of the current religious organizations; Christian, Jewish, Moslem, Buddhist, etc.
