I was 15-year-old student at West High School on Nov 22, 1963. It was announced over the loudspeaker that our president had been shot in Dallas. We were shocked and great sadness filled the school. I prayed JFK would survive.
When it was announced that our president had died, many cried, school was closed and we were sent home. I loved JFK and Jackie!
They were so young, as were their children. It was a beautiful funeral and little John-John was so cute when he saluted.
I remember the day like it was yesterday, but the 50th anniversary of the day Kennedy was killed is nearly here. It is a very sad day in United States history.
