Hundreds of thousands of employees who were out of work in the shutdown still had to pay for gas, mortgages, babysitters, doctor's appointments, etc. without a paycheck. The shutdown didn't just affect government workers, it affected all Americans and could have been devastating to this country.

Orrin Hatch and Jim Matheson are the only two Utah delegates who voted to end the shutdown.

Chris Stewart, Jason Chaffetz, Rob Bishop, and Mike Lee would rather see us all go off the cliff. This tells us that these men do not support or represent Utah, or America for that matter. Because of their political greed, they would rather have thousands of employees continue to work without pay, watch the economy fall apart, all the while being paid, with no impact to them or their families.

This action should be remembered in Novembers to come. If you were only working at a mere 5 percent approval rating from your employer, you would have been fired.
