What if Dems were pushing shutdown?

Imagine Mitt Romney won the election. Having campaigned for a large tax cut, he's able to get it through Congress. Democrats immediately revile it, renaming the law Romnopoly.

A handful of very liberal senators demand Romnopoly get rolled back, or they won't pass a budget. Refusing to be blackmailed, President Romney stands his ground and doesn't give in. Subsequently, the government shuts down.

Here's my question for Republicans. Do you really believe this is the best way to govern a country?
