Utah constituents should be asking themselves: "Where have Sen. Orrin Hatch and Congressman Rob Bishop been during this fiasco in Washington?"
When running for office they always toot their experience, seniority and tenure. Why aren't they providing and exercising the leadership we have a right to expect? All I've seen on the various "news" channels is tea party Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Jason Chaffetz getting the air time that feeds their egos as they hold our nation hostage to their undemocratic demands.
I see no leadership from our entitled representatives. Lee is collecting his $174,000 paycheck while 24,000 Utahns are not allowed to go to work and collect theirs. Experience, seniority and tenure don't amount to much if you fail to exercise those elements of power. All Americans should demand congressional term limits in light of the poor job our "senior and tenured" representatives are doing.
Utah, it is time to throw all the bums out and elect people who will look out for us, not big money, lobbyists and themselves.
