The consequence of our method of selecting candidates for local and state offices is now becoming more evident, and the bi-partisan "Count My Vote" efforts to eliminate the caucus method needs to gain more public support.

When an able senator like Bob Bennett can be displaced by a political wannabe like Mike Lee, it's time to return the choice to the general voting public through a primary process. Those of you who have never attended a neighborhood political caucus have no idea how much of your democratic process is determined by a few extremist ideologues.

If you don't like the present political scene here and in Washington, support the "Count My Vote" initiative spearheaded by the former First Lady, Mrs. Norma Matheson, and former Gov. Mike Leavitt.
