Rep. Jim Matheson is guilty of blackmail and doublespeak. His justification for a "yes" vote in support of the House bill to defund Obamacare is classic doublespeak. Out of one side of his mouth he says, "attempting to dismantle President Barack Obama's signature health care law by threatening a government shutdown is irresponsible." But the other side of his mouth voted "yes."

The Tribune reported, "He assumed the Senate would restore the funding, which it will attempt early next week, forcing the House to take up the issue again." So, joining with the blackmailing members of the GOP is OK in Matheson's eyes because the Senate will step in to keep the U.S. economy from being damaged. He sounds like an accomplice to a crime whining that he didn't really agree with the bad things his friends were doing. Well, Rep. Matheson, you got in the car, drove to the scene of the crime and voted "yes" for what they were doing. You are as guilty as they are, and your attempts to whitewash it shows lack of character. You've lost my vote.
