Take it from me: Being a girl isn't all that easy, especially in today's society. Girls are ruthless. I have been a girl for nearly 15 years now, and nothing has gotten any easier for us females.
Everywhere we go, we are harshly judged about our every detail. Some of us crack under the pressure and that's when depression, self-harm, eating disorders and what not arrive. Here's the worst part: We do the exact same thing to others.
We continue being horrible until it's all one vicious, never ending cycle. I'm here as a young woman to say to all the females who have become sick and tired of eyes in judgment following them around, and to those who have cracked under the pressure of those stares, we are all in this together. I know that sounds cheesy, like it belongs on one of those annoying classroom posters, but it's the truth.
Why fight each other when we can band together over things that truly matter. Don't worry about that girl's dress size, worry about the fact that domestic violence and sexism are still a huge issue in our modem world.
