If Jesus appeared in Utah and was presented with a $50 billion gift from His official "church representatives" here on Earth, what do you think He would do with the money?
I don't believe Jesus would use it to:
Build another church, temple or shopping mall, try to influence a political outcome, pay lobbyists to protect a person's right to own a weapon, fight any kind of war, give to the PAC of his favorite candidate, share it with the people with the top 1 percent of wealth or bail out corporations.
But I do believe Jesus would use this money to:
Shelter the homeless, feed the hungry (especially children), provide health care to the sick, ensure proper educational opportunities for all, rebuild homes lost from "acts of God," and support causes that protect marginalized minorities.
Does this mean Jesus would be a small "d" Democrat?
Tell me again why conservative right-wing Republicans call themselves Christians.
