One of the rare positive accomplishments of ex-Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson was the successful 2002 Winter Olympics.
He now announces his wish to sue our National Security Agency for its part in eavesdropping on e-mails and/or telephone communication prior to and during that great event ("Former Salt Lake mayor: NSA snooping is the scandal of the century," Tribune, Aug. 23).
Perhaps if no such precautions had been taken and terrorists so soon after their equally successful 9-11 attacks could mount another attack in Salt Lake City with similar results, would Rocky sue NSA for failure to do all things possible to protect us and our welcome visitors?
Grow up, Rocky, and quit seeking headlines!
