Re "Policing the police," Our View, Aug. 11.
Your editorial was spot on in support of District Attorney Sim Gill. In my opinion, the district attorney showed a great deal of courage and administrative backbone to weigh the facts established by a lengthy investigation, and came to a conclusion in the interest of justice, as he was committed to do.
It should show those in law enforcement that there is accountability for the use of force.
This action should not impact those in law enforcement in a negative way, but instead instill a careful consideration of the dangers associated with the job.
