I read reporter Leann Burke's article "Wheeling to Work" in the July 21 Sunday Money section, a story about the Bicycle Ambassadors. I found an accompanying photo, top of page H2, particularly interesting.

None of the bikers in the Bicycle Ambassadors was wearing a helmet. The article mentions "experienced cyclists working to teach new riders the rules of the road." How about safety as one of the rules of the road?

Folks, if you're going to teach new riders the rules of the road, how about setting a safety example and include a helmet for yourself?
