Your editorial "No nukes" (Opinion, July 17) accurately observes that Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, properly helped avert detonation of the so-called "nuclear option," while the Republicans improperly blocked the well-qualified Consumer Financial Protection Bureau nominee, Richard Cordray, because they opposed the recently created agency.
