Re Chad Mullins' letter "Rolling to a stop" (Forum, July 20):

Just when did it become OK to roll through a stop sign? It doesn't matter if you are driving a car or truck or riding a bike, the rules of the road have always said stop meant stop. Not pause, stop.

I have never lived anyplace where there is more disregard for traffic-control signs by the bicycling public than here in the Park City area. It's a wonder that more riders are not killed or injured. And the motorists are also some of the worst I have seen for "rolling" past stop signs.

It makes one wonder if driver education is not taught in schools, or if the chapter on road signs is being skipped.
