Tim Miller is correct: We should not honor current politicos when we name Salt Lake's new federal courthouse ("A Sutherland or Hatch courthouse? No!" Opinion, June 29).

The two people he suggests instead would be brilliant alternatives: Pamela Atkinson, Utah's tireless advocate for the homeless, refugees and the poor, or Rev. France Davis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church who lived through the civil rights movement, including the Selma march.

They represent the highest ideals of our community. Let's recognize both and call it the Atkinson-Davis Federal Courthouse.
