Recently, my husband and I were going north on Interstate 15 and saw a dog riding loose and bouncing around in the back of a pickup truck. I asked a highway patrolman if he would please do something about it. He told me that no law prohibits dogs from being loose in a truck, and worse, no law prevents a child from being in the back, even on the freeway.

You've got to be kidding! We can pass laws regarding the "Zion Curtain" to protect people from seeing alcohol, but we can't do anything about kids and dogs?

I am so disappointed in Utah.
