In " Send zoo to prison" (Forum, June 12), Barney Bettilyon humorously suggested once the Utah State Prison has moved, we replace it with the Hogle Zoo, since it already has cages.

Seriously, why not replace the prison's concrete and asphalt jungle with something similar to Disney's Animal Kingdom park — an animal theme park that provides ecological and environmental awareness, exotic animals and family adventures. What better alternative than to replace concrete with trees and animals, plus the advantage of learning about our environment?

There are many master plan proposal for the prison land. Maybe what to do with it should be up to the voters of Utah.
