Swallow had vision?

In trying to defend himself, Utah Attorney General John Swallow asked: "Why would you step down from a duly elected office when two-thirds of the people in Utah elected you because of your vision and your platform?"

O the things politicians say and apparently believe!

Come on, everyone knows that the only reason that Swallow was elected by the good "people in Utah" is that on the ballot there was an "R" after his name. No one knew anything about his vision, his platform or, sadly, his qualifications.

Utah voters trusted their Republican Party to pick worthy candidates, and that party, especially its leaders Gov. Gary Herbert and then Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff, let their members down. It's a huge malfeasance, and they should also be held accountable.
